VIRTUAL VISITS
What can I expect during this visit?
A virtual breastfeeding support consultation is a “face-to-face” appointment via your computer, smartphone or tablet with a breastfeeding professional.

Your consultant will discuss your and your baby’s medical history and current issues with you during your virtual breastfeeding support consultation.

The consultant will conduct an assessment of your breasts (as needed) and your baby, including a nursing session to see your baby’s appearance and behavior.

After the assessment, your consultant will provide you with a care plan. Follow up virtual visits or phone consultations will be scheduled as needed.
How do I prepare for a virtual consult?

The following equipment is needed for a consult:
-
Smart Phone / iPad / tablet / computer with video, sound, and microphone access
-
Completed portal information prior to visit (including accurate baby weight history)
-
Access to good lighting
-
A support person to help aim the camera (and help with household distractions) is helpful, but not required
-
A list of questions you may have might be helpful
